IAASB and IESBA have introduced new integrated global standards to improve sustainability reporting and assurance, addressing the growing demand for reliable data for decision-making. These are cohesive guidelines for sustainability, promoting transparency in sustainability reporting, accountability, and trust, and addressing risks such as greenwashing and fraud. They will be effective starting from December 15, 2026, with early adoption encouraged.
